The highlights of this article deal with credit card fraud at gas stations. No surprise, gas stations are completely lacking in secure credit card processing technology, making them easy targets for fraud syndicates. Don’t be a victim: think twice before using your card at the pump-kiosk. As a victim of credit card fraud, here are some helpful tips I’ve learned:
- Pay with cash
- If you have to use a credit card, consider paying inside of the store
- Don’t use the pump’s card reader if it looks loose
- Avoid getting gas at night (muggers)
Let’s get a dialogue started! Do you have any tips? Anyone else been a victim of credit card fraud? Are you willing to share the details of your experience?
