Info on the JM Family Enterprise African-American Achievers Awards Program…
The JM Family Enterprises’ African-American Achievers awards program was established in 1992 by Jim Moran to recognize those who unselfishly invest their time and talents toward building a stronger community. Since then, 124 individuals have been named African-American Achievers, and more than $285,000 has been donated to local charitable organizations on their behalf.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 African-American Achievers in four categories: Arts & Culture, Business & Entrepreneurism, Education, and Community Service. If you know an inspiring leader in one of these areas, consider nominating him/her for this prestigious award. Nominees must work or live in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties. The 2013 recipients will be chosen by an independent panel of past honorees and community leaders.
Click here to complete the online nomination form by Friday, December 7. All nominees will receive a personalized recognition certificate and an invitation to the awards ceremony on April 18.
JM Family Enterprises will donate $40,000 to local nonprofits to celebrate the African-American Achievers. For each adult Achiever, $10,000 will be awarded to the charity/charities of his/her choice. Additionally, for those whose nominee is selected as an Achiever, $500 will be donated to a charity/charities of the nominator’s choice.
